Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center delivers comprehensive treatment for adolescents 12 and older and adults dealing with mood, anxiety, and trauma-related conditions. Services include a 7-days-a-week partial hospitalization program (PHP) and a 3-days-a-week intensive outpatient program (IOP), helping clients and their families build practical skills for durable, long-term change.
Care at Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center is provided by a multidisciplinary group led by nationally and internationally recognized specialists whose combined experience totals 200 years. The program includes a psychiatrist who meets with each client twice weekly for medication management during the PHP, along with nursing staff, master’s-level clinicians who lead groups, and a primary therapist. After intake, each client is assigned a primary therapist who holds three one-on-one sessions per week and coordinates additional meetings that involve the client’s chosen support system.
The clinical approach incorporates evidence-based therapies such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), along with family sessions and structured group programming. With the guidance of Pathlight’s caring team, clients learn to better understand how their thoughts, emotions, and bodies work together through evidence-based treatment and complementary practices including meditation, yoga, and mindfulness.
For trauma-related concerns, Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center specifically uses a CBT-based method known as exposure and response prevention, as well as behavioral activation, to reduce avoidance patterns and lessen anxiety and fear that can develop after a traumatic experience. The center also uses acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help clients build a meaningful life while learning to make space for the inevitable discomfort that comes with being human.
To promote recovery, Pathlight’s team coordinates with a client’s current outpatient providers to review treatment history and goals, and meets weekly to share updates on progress. If a client does not already have outpatient care, clinicians can help connect them with appropriate therapists and psychiatrists. Support continues beyond discharge through a personalized transition plan, aftercare services, and alumni programs for ongoing connection and encouragement.
