ASIC Recovery is a licensed outpatient program designed for people dealing with substance use disorders alongside mental health challenges. It works best for those who do not require medical detox or round-the-clock supervision, but still want structured, additional assistance. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) is available for both men and women and includes individual counseling and group sessions. Clients can select either a daytime or evening option, with evidence-based treatment held three times per week for three hours each day. Groups are intentionally kept small to maintain a personal setting, with no more than 10 participants per session. Weekly individual counseling is also included, led by professionals trained in a range of approaches such as traditional talk therapy, EMDR, motivational interviewing, 12-Step methods, and more.
In addition, ASIC Recovery offers a sober living home for men who need a stable, safe place to stay while participating in the program. The men’s residence includes comfortable accommodations, shared bedrooms, roomy common areas, and amenities such as a pool table.
For individuals in their first year of recovery, ASIC Recovery includes the Insight program to emphasize that aftercare is as important as primary treatment. This option provides coaching and ongoing support, 12-Step mentoring, help with life skills, and goal planning. Support is also available for families.
Also confirm the facility is licensed by Texas (this facility reports accreditation). If you are withdrawing from alcohol or benzodiazepines, ask about medical detox; do not stop suddenly on your own.
ASIC Recovery Services reports accepting Private insurance, TRICARE / VA, Self-pay. If you have Medicaid, ask whether the facility accepts your Texas Medicaid plan or can refer you to one that does. Most private plans must cover substance use treatment on terms comparable to other medical care under federal parity law.
