About The Renfrew Center Philadelphia

The Renfrew outpatient eating disorder treatment center is designed to be a welcoming environment for adolescent girls, women, transgender women, and non-binary individuals across Pennsylvania and Delaware. The team offers treatment grounded in evidence for clients who are seeking support, as well as for their families. The day treatment program is built for individuals who are transitioning out of residential care or who need a more flexible format while still benefiting from a clear structure. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) serves those who require a higher level of care than what standard outpatient services provide. For clients looking for ongoing weekly assistance, the outpatient program provides regular individual, family, and group therapy.

In the day treatment program, services run five days per week and include group and individual therapy, medication management, psychiatric evaluations, two meals per day plus snacks, nutrition-focused support, expressive therapies, and psychoeducation. The IOP meets three times weekly and includes nutrition consultations, group therapy, psychiatric services, one meal per day, and psychoeducation. At the Renfrew, clients can also rely on encouragement from others who understand their experiences. Treatment is tailored to each person, taking into account related challenges such as trauma and substance use. All three outpatient programs are available virtually to support client convenience.
