Alpha Healing Center

Addiction Medicine and Health Advocates (AMHA) is an outpatient facility in Philadelphia designed to support individuals dealing with addiction, with a particular focus on opioid use disorder. The center provides two care tracks: standard outpatient services and intensive outpatient services. Methadone maintenance is an important element of the program and is offered under both levels of care.
AMHA takes a whole-person approach, recognizing that addiction can look different from one person to the next. Participants meet with counselors to develop a personalized treatment plan aligned with their individual objectives and needs. The program includes several therapeutic services, such as one-on-one counseling, group therapy, psychoeducational sessions, and family therapy. Together, these options are intended to help clients build healthy coping strategies, improve relationships, and maintain long-term commitment to recovery.
Beyond counseling, AMHA also provides medical assessments, drug testing, aftercare planning, and referrals to additional medical or vocational resources. The staff additionally works to raise public awareness about addiction and recovery. By addressing the needs of patients as well as their families and communities, AMHA helps create a supportive care network that encourages people to continue moving toward wellness.
