About New Vitae Wellness and Recovery Residential

Since 1983, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery has been serving the Quakertown area, providing individualized outpatient and residential programs for adults, young adults, and veterans dealing with mental health challenges, addiction, co-occurring conditions, or traumatic brain injury. The center includes three residential treatment locations in Philadelphia, located on Walnut and South 6th Streets, which support people referred from forensic settings who have been experiencing serious psychiatric symptoms. For some services, New Vitae also offers telehealth, including medication management, individual and family therapy, and selected group therapies.

Through its residential programs, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery assists clients in moving back toward community life with a combination of clinical support and social services. Treatment is largely grounded in recovery-oriented cognitive approaches, emphasizing personal strengths and aligning care with each person’s goals. Residents also participate in group therapy, community-based social activities, care coordination, and support aimed at strengthening family relationships. Throughout the program, clients work on practical life skills designed to build confidence and support a successful return to their communities.

New Vitae’s young adults program focuses on the full range of behavioral health needs, including mental health treatment, help with employment, development of life skills, social engagement, and educational support. During a key transition into adulthood, the program is structured to provide the guidance and resources needed for long-term wellbeing.

The veterans program is distinguished by its use of veteran clinicians who provide highly tailored care based on their experience and expertise. It developed in response to a growing need for improved community resources for veterans experiencing homelessness, and it now offers a broad set of services, including traumatic brain injury treatment, deep transcranial magnetic stimulation, GeneSight testing, and more.
