About Interim House

Interim House is a nonprofit residential and outpatient rehabilitation center focused on supporting women, including pregnant women, as they work toward recovery from co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions, such as alcohol dependence and trauma. The center provides multiple levels of treatment, including short-term and long-term residential programs, halfway housing, intensive outpatient services, and standard outpatient care, so participants have a consistent route toward stability and independence.

The program follows a holistic, recovery-centered model that treats the individual as a whole, addressing mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Women receive evidence-based services such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused group programming, individual and group counseling, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Additional supports include job training, creative therapies like art and dance, parenting education, relapse prevention planning, and assistance building connections with the wider community.

Located in Philadelphia’s Mount Airy neighborhood, the main facility offers a secure, comfortable setting for both residential and outpatient options. On-site amenities include an art studio, multipurpose spaces, and access to outdoor areas for exercise and quiet reflection. With comprehensive day-to-day support and links to community resources, Interim House helps strengthen healing, foster belonging, and promote long-term recovery.
