About Childrens Crisis Treatment Center
Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC) is dedicated to supporting young children and their families as they navigate emotional and behavioral issues such as trauma, loss, and maltreatment. Catering to children from 18 months to 13 years old, CCTC provides both outpatient therapy and a day treatment program (PHP). The center creates a safe and supportive environment where families can embark on a journey of healing and strengthening their connections, emphasizing the importance of early childhood care.
With a foundation in trauma-informed, evidence-based practices, CCTC's treatment approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, art therapy, and attachment-based family therapy. A multidisciplinary team comprising therapists, psychiatrists, and nurses collaborates to customize care plans. These therapeutic options aid children in articulating their feelings, enhancing coping mechanisms, and nurturing strong relationships, while simultaneously equipping parents to foster their child's emotional growth.
As part of its services, CCTC offers a Therapeutic Nursery designed for preschoolers with behavioral difficulties, a family-oriented parenting initiative, and workshops aimed at caregivers. Their Multiple Family Group approach cultivates a sense of community through collective learning and recovery. The majority of children served are under 10 years old, underscoring the center's commitment to early intervention. Additionally, bilingual services, advocacy efforts, and care coordination provide families with support that extends well beyond the confines of therapy sessions.
