About Westminster House

Westminster House is a non-profit organization providing addiction recovery support for young women, adult women, and their families. The center offers a 90-day residential program, a program for youth, a virtual option, dialectical behavioral therapy, and a smoking cessation program. Their full continuum of care includes mental health evaluations, one-on-one and group counseling, peer support, nutritious meals and diet guidance, structured recreation, opportunities for social connection, family assistance, and ongoing support with access to educational resources after treatment.

The 90-day residential program delivers a wide set of services grounded in the biopsychosocial approach. It is supported by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and the principles of the 12-Step model. Participants develop skills in reflective journaling and engage in motivational interviewing. Each client is matched with a dedicated counselor and support worker, and group therapy runs six days a week, including education about drugs and alcohol.

Adult women and young adult women live in separate housing within a calm residential area. The residences are warm and well-equipped, with fully furnished, comfortable, and spacious living spaces. Five vegetarian meals are served daily, prepared with organic and fresh ingredients. Since 1991, Westminster House has remained committed to helping women break free from addiction.
