Located just five minutes from the St Lawrence River, Andy’s House was created to support long-term recovery and is still guided today by peers in recovery along with dedicated clinical professionals. The center provides residential treatment, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and aftercare services. Individuals can select from a 90-day residential program, a 35-day residential option combined with a 16-week IOP, or a standalone 16-week IOP.
Andy’s House uses the Minnesota 12-Step model as the foundation for its programming. Treatment includes a range of group therapies such as psychoeducational sessions, cognitive behavioral groups, and problem-solving groups. The center also offers interpersonal process coaching to help clients recognize how their social roles and relationship patterns affect them, supporting positive change and healing. Aftercare is available for up to two years, giving clients ongoing contact with their support system and a structured way to reflect on progress during recovery. Family support is offered as an open-ended program through weekly family support groups, available both during participation and after graduation. To maintain personalized care, Andy’s House limits enrollment to no more than 15 clients at a time.
The Andy’s House campus is an older Victorian mansion with roomy common areas, intentionally designed to feel like a warm, supportive home. Clients also have access to outdoor space and a backyard pool. Their daily schedule blends holistic and alternative approaches with evidence-based care, including art therapy, cinema therapy, physical fitness, daily journaling, and yoga.
