About SOBA New Jersey
SOBA New Jersey helps clients take back control of their lives with full-scale addiction treatment and mental health support for adults dealing with many different conditions. By working on physical health, emotional stability, and psychological well-being, clients can build a solid base for lasting recovery and address the underlying reasons behind their struggles. The center provides detox services, residential programs, outpatient support, and sober living options for people with substance use disorders, along with both primary and co-occurring mental health treatment.
SOBA uses a three-stage recovery approach that moves clients from detox toward lasting independence. The process starts with medically supervised detox and around-the-clock care to support a safe withdrawal. Next, residential treatment provides a structured environment with individual and group therapy, trauma-focused services, and wellness-based therapies. In the last stage, clients shift toward reintegration through relapse prevention tools, outpatient programming, and sober living choices designed to support long-term success.
SOBA also offers specialized, supportive programs, including culturally informed care for Orthodox Jewish clients, trauma-informed services for veterans and first responders, and an affirming LGBTQ+ program. Treatment is individualized for each person, guided by biopsychosocial assessments and proven therapeutic methods such as one-on-one counseling, family therapy, and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) for trauma. Clients may also participate in holistic options like mindfulness practices, wellness coaching, and adventure therapy.
At SOBA’s residential center, residents can focus on healing through a balanced daily routine. Outside of scheduled treatment, clients have access to chef-prepared gourmet meals, gym time, and opportunities to unwind in the sauna, Jacuzzi, and large swimming pool. Comfortable, fully furnished living spaces, fast WiFi, cable television, and housekeeping services are also available, helping clients rest and stay focused on recovery. The center additionally provides free transportation to its facilities for clients located within a five-hour radius.
