About Damon House Inc

Damon House assists adults throughout New Jersey who are dealing with substance use and related mental health concerns. The program is a long-term residential option, typically lasting six to ten months, and combines structured living on-site with outpatient support in a secure environment. Through guidance focused on accountability, consistency, and healthy daily habits, clients work toward rebuilding their lives.

Using an evidence-based, integrative model, Damon House coordinates medical care, psychiatric support, and therapeutic services. Participants receive counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relapse prevention, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). In addition to clinical programming, the center supports recovery through mindfulness practices, yoga, vocational activities, and creative arts, helping individuals strengthen independence and commit to lasting change.

Daily programming includes a variety of groups tailored to each person’s needs. Alongside counseling sessions and NA/AA meetings, clients take part in self-help groups such as Seeking Safety, Coping with Loss, Family Relations, Anger and Anxiety Management. These activities help people regulate emotions, develop healthier relationships, and continue healing within a client-centered, trauma-informed setting.
