About Pathways Inc

Located near Winchester Avenue, Pathways provides mental health and substance use care for people of all ages. The center treats a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Programs are available through outpatient services, intensive outpatient options (IOP), and treatment that addresses co-occurring disorders. With more than 50 years of experience, Pathways delivers individualized, community-based support throughout Eastern Kentucky.

Pathways relies on evidence-based approaches to help clients build control over their mental health. Treatment may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and acceptance commitment therapy (ACT). Licensed clinicians guide sessions with an emphasis on emotional recovery, practical behavior change, and sustainable progress, offered with kindness and respect.

Although Pathways operates as an outpatient center, clients receive care in a comfortable setting, including welcoming therapy rooms, group areas, and private spaces for one-on-one counseling. Many appointments also incorporate peer support or group-based activities designed to strengthen relationships and encourage motivation. Pathways further offers support groups and skill-building sessions to help individuals feel secure, supported, and capable throughout every visit.
