About The Palisades House for Women

The Palisades House for Women provides an empowering residential setting paired with a highly regarded sober living program. Designed specifically for women working through addiction recovery, it centers on creativity and strong community bonds to support lasting change. Located in the lively Dupont Circle neighborhood, the center’s upscale residences create an environment where residents can experience daily life with confidence, belonging, and renewed direction. Support and comfort are reinforced through features such as round-the-clock supervision by trained recovery staff, chef-prepared wholesome meals served each day, and a wide selection of creative and wellness activities. Options may include art, music, yoga, and other tailored experiences selected to match each woman’s needs. Organized outings also help build sisterhood and camaraderie, with opportunities that can include visits to nearby beaches, museums, skiing or snowboarding, and other enjoyable ways to unwind and explore.

While living at the center, residents can join outpatient programming, pursue education or employment goals, and participate in volunteer roles. They are also encouraged to remain engaged with their recovery community during their stay, strengthening continuity of care and support.

At the core of the program is the belief that a life guided by passion, purpose, and meaning supports sustainable long-term recovery. The homes are structured to encourage genuine connection with peers who share similar journeys, while helping each resident develop a clearer sense of self, community, and personal values. Established by seasoned professionals in the addiction field, many of whom have lived recovery themselves, Palisades offers an especially compassionate approach. Care includes ongoing coordination through conversations with family members and clinicians to ensure a comprehensive, individualized understanding and a treatment experience shaped around the needs of each person.
