About BHG Washington DC Treatment Center

Behavioral Health Group (BHG) is a prominent provider of outpatient programs for addiction treatment, working closely with referral partners to help people continue their recovery from opioid use. Using practices supported by research, BHG’s multidisciplinary staff combines medication-assisted treatment (MAT), counseling, and additional support services that are customized to the specific needs, goals, and recovery plan of each patient.

With 114 treatment centers throughout 22 states, BHG is the largest Joint Commission-accredited network of outpatient treatment programs in the United States. This extensive presence enables the organization to deliver standardized best practices across its sites, reaching more than 43,000 patients each day. Published results indicate that 92% of patients report better quality of life and mental health, 83% experience reduced substance use, and 45% obtain employment during their first year of care.

BHG is also part of the 4.2% of national treatment providers that offer all three FDA-approved medications for opioid use disorder, along with counseling and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) available at selected locations. Its whole-person model focuses on improving treatment follow-through, lowering opioid use, decreasing high-risk behaviors, and supporting sustainable long-term recovery.
