About Aquila Recovery

Aquila Recovery provides addiction treatment through an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for individuals and their families, as well as recovery housing. The IOP enables clients to work through drug and alcohol treatment while continuing to live at home. Participants typically attend around 8 to 12 hours per week of combined individual and group therapy sessions. These sessions include counseling and education focused on relapse prevention. As clients show sustained progress in recovery over time, the amount of weekly therapy gradually decreases, continuing to taper until they are no longer dealing with signs of addiction or relapse.

The recovery housing offered by Aquila Recovery is designed for people who need a secure, supportive setting while rebuilding their lives. The housing includes 24/7 staff support, a highly structured daily routine, encouragement from a recovery-focused community, and additional holistic services. At the Allem House, residents can attend weekly meditation classes led by an on-site instructor. Clients also have access to transportation to ensure they can attend their clinical group sessions.

Aquila Recovery is based in Washington D.C. The center is accredited by the Joint Commission and works with most private insurance plans.
