About Center for Discovery

Center for Discovery is a treatment program for eating disorders that has more than 25 years of experience using evidence-based approaches for adolescents and adults. The team includes specialists who are trauma-informed and supportive of body positivity, guided by the Health at Every Size® (HAES®) framework. In addition to evidence-based clinical care, clients also take part in nutrition education, yoga therapy, art therapy, and work with a peer mentor to support a smooth adjustment to the program.

At the Center for Discovery, clinicians provide evidence-based services such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and exposure & response prevention (ERP). ERP is widely used for anxiety and eating disorders. It works by having clients practice exposure to situations or triggers that typically lead to eating disorder behaviors, with the aim of reducing or preventing engagement in those behaviors.
