About Center for Discovery

Center for Discovery Wellington offers residential rehabilitation for women and non-binary adults ages 18–26 across the Fairfield, CT region. Treatment is built on evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). The Path to Peace binge eating disorder (BED) program, along with telehealth services, further improves access for clients.

The center’s CARE-CFD nutrition model, “consistent attuned relational eating,” focuses on trauma-informed dietary support. It prioritizes teamwork, sensitivity to each client’s experiences, and body inclusivity within a Health at Every Size® framework. Clients receive guidance from a Body Trust-certified dietitian who has experience supporting individuals with co-occurring disorders and addiction. Holistic care is supported through therapies such as yoga therapy, art therapy, and play therapy.

Center for Discovery Wellington works with many insurance plans and helps clients with benefit verification, so they can better understand what coverage is available. With these supports and flexible programming, the center aims to make recovery more attainable.
