About Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC)

The Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC) is a nonprofit organization located in San Diego, California, focused on supporting the health and overall well-being of underserved communities, especially Asian, Pacific Islander, and other ethnic groups. UPAC delivers a broad set of health and human services through a diverse team of multilingual professionals, skilled in more than 30 languages and dialects. UPAC runs a variety of programs that include mental health support for adults, seniors, children, and teens; addiction treatment and recovery services; community involvement and business development efforts; housing counseling; and training that strengthens cultural competence. Services feature individual and group counseling, crisis response, care for substance use disorders, supportive housing, and workforce training in partnership with local businesses. By serving people across San Diego County, UPAC emphasizes culturally and linguistically relevant care to help clients build independence and strengthen their communities. Its mission is to enhance well-being and educational opportunities for Asian, Pacific Islander, and other ethnic communities, acknowledging the unique backgrounds and abilities of these groups.
