About Solara Mental Health

Solara Mental Health is a specialized mental health treatment program designed to support people dealing with a wide range of psychological conditions, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, suicidal thoughts, and PTSD. The center offers an intensive inpatient care option with a structured, progressive approach, guided by a multidisciplinary group of clinicians who tailor the plan to each participant’s needs. The Core In-Residence Program is supervised around the clock and typically lasts from 4 to 12-plus weeks, combining therapies such as TransCranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), CBT, DBT, EMDR, and relational therapy. In addition to evidence-based clinical services, clients can also participate in complementary holistic therapies, including acupuncture, meditation and mindfulness practices, yoga, horticulture therapy, and family-focused support.

Days at Solara are designed to balance treatment and recovery. During weekdays, participants usually attend several intensive therapy sessions, meet individually with a psychiatrist and a nurse, take part in hands-on activities, and also have time to rest and decompress. Weekend schedules often include longer excursions and local outings in the surrounding area, along with ongoing therapeutic support and enjoyable meals. Solara Mental Health is also pet-friendly, allowing clients to bring their animals to treatment.

The program is described as having leading outcomes compared with similar psychological treatment options. Solara provides upscale semi-private accommodations near the beach in San Diego, California. The calming seaside environment is intended to promote safety, stability, and the peace needed for healing. Solara Mental Health is accredited by the Joint Commission and works with most private insurance plans.
