About Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital
Sharp’s hospital is designed to bring encouragement to patients and their loved ones who are dealing with mental health challenges and substance use disorders of many kinds. The center offers a full continuum of services, including evaluation, inpatient treatment, day programs, and ongoing care. With supportive medical and clinical professionals, Sharp focuses on helping individuals recover from addiction through medication and therapeutic approaches that strengthen long-term recovery.
Treatment services include education about addiction as a disease, individual and group therapy, case management, relapse prevention, family education, recreational therapy, and training in life skills. Sharp also provides medication management, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
Sharp serves clients aged 6 and older. For young adults between 18 and 26, the center provides transitional age programming to help clients manage new stressors and build healthy routines as they move into this stage of life. For adults 60 and older, geriatric-focused care supports people who may be facing dementia and other age-related conditions that can influence mental health and substance use.
Sharp also offers day treatment and intensive outpatient (IOP) for individuals who don’t need 24-hour supervision or who are transitioning from inpatient care. The continuing care program is available for the rest of the client’s life at no charge. Through weekly support groups, clients work on skills for handling the challenges that arise when returning home, work, and community. They can also connect with therapists for ongoing counseling, and Sharp’s aftercare app helps provide resources and information related to aftercare.
