About Element Q Healing Center
Element Q Healing Center in San Diego provides specialized mental health services for LGBTQIA+ adults, addressing needs such as anxiety, depression, trauma, gender dysphoria, and substance use. Treatment is offered through structured day programming (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP), with plans designed around each client’s goals and circumstances. Many of the clinicians are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, creating an environment where clients can feel recognized, safe, and understood.
The center follows a trauma-informed model that blends evidence-based therapeutic practices with whole-person care. Clients can receive individual and group therapy, neuropsychological testing, and medication management that is responsive to cultural needs. Complementary services such as acupuncture and trauma-informed yoga are also available to support healing on multiple levels. Together, these services help clients process past experiences, strengthen coping skills, and rebuild connection with their true selves.
At Element Q, identity and personal stories are valued. The programs foster empowerment through peer connection, encouragement, and steady progress. Guided by cultural humility and affirming care, the team supports individuals in achieving meaningful healing, deeper self-awareness, and sustainable change.
