About Community Human Services
The center provides help for teens aged 13–18 who are dealing with substance use, creating a supportive environment where they can learn, reflect, and work toward lasting improvement. Through referrals from parents, schools, social services, behavioral health providers, probation officers, or juvenile drug court, each adolescent enters a structured program that combines individual and group counseling, guided journaling activities, and evidence-based approaches designed to increase insight and encourage genuine commitment.
DAISY uses the Seven Challenges curriculum to help young people examine their decisions and actively take responsibility for their personal progress. In addition, parents participate in separate support groups that focus on promoting better school attendance, reducing the risk of gang involvement, and enhancing relationships and communication within the family. The facility is open weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing consistent support during the day for both youth and their families.
