About Fair Oaks Recovery Center

Fair Oaks Recovery Center follows a whole-person model to help individuals address substance use disorders along with co-occurring mental health conditions. The program has earned chemical dependency recovery status from the state of California, reflecting advanced and recognized expertise. Services are delivered at their private, comfortable recovery center and include medically supervised detox, residential treatment, and outpatient care. For eligible participants, a dedicated track supports the specific needs of veterans and first responders.

Fair Oaks Recovery Center provides medically supervised detox for alcohol and drug withdrawal. During detox, nursing staff and licensed therapists are available to monitor progress and provide ongoing support. When appropriate, medication-assisted treatment is used to help ease withdrawal symptoms. After detox, clients can move directly into the next phase of care, whether residential treatment, day treatment, or intensive outpatient. Day treatment involves 6 hours of programming each day, five days per week. Intensive outpatient is also available with morning, afternoon, or evening options, offered at least 3 or more days weekly.

The center’s team includes medical doctors, a psychiatrist, clinicians, and nursing staff. Treatment is built on a collaborative, positive psychology approach and typically includes group therapy, individual counseling (1:1), and family therapy. Each client meets with their therapist in an individual session at least once per week. Additional support comes through therapist-led process groups and educational groups focused on building relapse prevention and coping skills. Fair Oaks Recovery Center also offers personal phone access on an as-needed basis.

Fair Oaks Recovery Center offers a specialized program for veterans and first responders called Tactical Recovery. This program provides trauma-informed care and includes targeted therapy groups, round-the-clock nursing and psychiatric support, and a dedicated grief and loss group. Tactical Recovery also includes Seeking Safety trauma treatment, anger management, and groups designed to support socialization and healthy interpersonal skills. After completing treatment, all clients can participate in an alumni program that meets weekly and hosts monthly events. Alumni also receive ongoing support through a recovery app and continued check-ins with staff.
