About Guidance Center Inc

Located just off Route 66 in the heart of Flagstaff, The Guidance Center offers comprehensive behavioral health and substance use services for children aged 6 and older, teenagers, and adults. They have specialized teams catering to younger clients between 6 and 18 years old, as well as those 18 and older. Their treatment methods are grounded in evidence-based practices and include individual and group therapy, skill enhancement, medication management, and coordinated care. They also provide training for caregivers to better support their loved ones. In collaboration with The Genoa Clinic, they assist clients with medication prescriptions and management.

The Guidance Center features a crisis stabilization unit and maintains a 24/7 hotline for urgent situations. For routine appointments and inpatient admissions, clients can often be scheduled within a few days. They also accept up to three walk-ins daily, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Their inpatient unit is equipped with 16 beds dedicated to detoxification, stabilization, and intensive psychiatric assistance.

The Guidance Center incorporates a variety of skill-based and interest-driven group sessions. For adult participants, available group therapy options encompass meditation, creative arts, physical fitness, life skills coaching, and dialectical behavior therapy. Youth groups focus on vocational training, family support, and activities like anime appreciation and hiking, along with DBT.
