About Rainbow Project Inc
The Rainbow Project supports children and their families who have experienced trauma, abuse, violence, or significant loss. The center provides early intervention, therapeutic services, urgent crisis assistance, and in-home support. Care is primarily directed to young children, with an emphasis on those under 11 years old. The program is recognized for its warm, child-centered approach that uses play to encourage healing and positive development.
Staff members deliver trauma-informed treatment, such as play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and family counseling. These interventions help children put words and feelings to their experiences, learn practical coping strategies, and improve communication and connection with caregivers. Working side by side with families, clinicians help establish secure, consistent routines that support emotional recovery and long-term wellbeing.
In addition, the Rainbow Project offers targeted initiatives, including De Mujer a Mujer, a support group for Spanish-speaking women navigating trauma and stress, and Coaches' Corner, designed to strengthen parenting abilities and emotional support. The center also runs Rapid Response for immediate crisis needs and FACE Kids to assist children with anxiety, grief, and behavioral challenges. Programs are available in both English and Spanish, guided by cultural sensitivity and respect for each family’s unique background.
