About New Beginnings Counseling Center

New Beginnings Counseling Center, LLC is a behavioral health organization supporting Madison and nearby communities across Wisconsin. Established in 2017 by Frederick Harris, it was formed to address the shortage of behavioral health providers who reflect the diversity of the people they serve. The center focuses on creating a supportive space for recovery, combining a respectful, direct style with a client-centered approach that acknowledges intersectional identities.

New Beginnings Counseling Center provides a broad range of services, including individual, couples, and family counseling, life coaching, and group therapy. It offers trauma-informed care for PTSD, LGBTQ-affirming therapy, support for substance use and co-occurring disorders, and grief counseling. The practice also helps clients with concerns related to sexual identity and provides services tailored to those who have served in the military. In addition, it works with EAP clients and offers telehealth appointments when appropriate. Care is designed to be culturally responsive for underrepresented communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals.

The center accepts multiple insurance plans, such as BlueCross BlueShield, United Healthcare, Molina, and Medicaid, and it provides sliding-scale fee options. Located near Beltline Highway in Madison, New Beginnings Counseling Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
