About House of Hope

House of Hope was created and is managed by people who have personal experience with addiction recovery. The centre provides a calm setting in rural New Zealand and delivers rehabilitation based on the 12-Step recovery approach. It runs a daytime programme from 7am to 4pm or 5pm daily for those who are not able to stay overnight, along with residential options lasting 7, 14, 30, or 40 days.

The residential track includes a 7-day social detox, with medication-assisted treatment provided when it’s needed. Programmes are supported by a mix of 1-on-1 sessions and group therapy, along with education workshops, group outings, and holistic activities such as yoga and meditation. The team assists clients with relapse-prevention planning, and aftercare support is offered for people who complete a residential programme of 14 days or more.

During their stay, clients receive accommodation in private rooms and can work with a personal fitness trainer. Living arrangements are home-like, with home-cooked meals, helping individuals focus on healing in a comfortable and peaceful environment. House of Hope also has a pool and several indoor and outdoor areas where clients can rest or connect with others between sessions and activities.
