About Family Services of Northeast WI
Established in 1899, the organization has offered mental health assistance and advocacy to people and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin. The center supports a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and relationship difficulties, using outpatient counseling, group sessions, and targeted programming. Guided by values of protection, recovery, and compassion, it has served the community for over 120 years.
The center provides individual, group, family, and couples therapy using trauma-informed approaches. Treatment options include dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), programs for substance use, trauma-focused care, transgender-affirming therapy, and specialized services for those affected by sexual assault. Appointments are available both in person and online, ensuring care is available for children, teens, and adults and tailored to changing needs.
In addition to counseling, the Sexual Assault Center offers around-the-clock advocacy, along with medical and legal support, and peer-based groups designed to support healing. The Women’s Recovery Journey program focuses on addiction and mental health while engaging families and providing childcare. Clinicians also work with athletes to address performance anxiety, increase confidence, and improve emotional regulation. Taken together, these programs help individuals, families, and communities move forward through recovery.
