About BHG Newport News Treatment Center

Behavioral Health Group (BHG) is a major provider of outpatient care for addiction, working alongside referral partners to help people recover from opioid use. Using evidence-based methods, BHG’s multidisciplinary team combines medication-assisted treatment (MAT), structured counseling, and supportive wraparound services, customized to align with each patient’s individual objectives and recovery plan.

With 114 treatment centers in 22 states, BHG operates as the largest Joint Commission-accredited outpatient treatment network in the United States. This extensive footprint helps the organization apply standardized best practices across its sites, reaching more than 43,000 patients each day. Available results indicate that 92% of patients report better overall quality of life and mental well-being, 83% experience reduced substance use, and 45% obtain employment within the first year of treatment.

BHG is also one of the 4.2% of addiction treatment providers nationwide that delivers all three FDA-approved medications for opioid use disorder, along with counseling and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) at select locations. Its whole-person model is designed to improve engagement in care, lower opioid use, reduce risk behaviors, and support sustained recovery over time.
