About Alta Loma The Lodge

Alta Loma is a specialized men’s rehabilitation program focused on long-term treatment for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and substance misuse that occurs alongside mental health needs. Designed to provide personalized guidance and complete support, the program includes four carefully designed facilities, each created for the unique requirements of men. Through Alta Loma at The Lodge, residents can access outpatient programming at Alta Loma along with structured, supportive living at Casa Sana. Men benefit from a consistent, organized setting that helps them build emotional and psychological stability. Alta Loma also develops individualized mental health plans and supports patients throughout every phase of their recovery.

At Alta Loma, treatment is delivered through a customized approach that may address co-occurring addiction as well. The process typically starts with partial hospitalization programming (PHP) and supportive housing at The Ranch, then moves into extended care at The Villa, and finally transitions to outpatient programming (OP) at The Cottage. This step-by-step model is intended to increase independence over time as men work through recovery goals, with ongoing assistance from case managers, behavior analysts, nurses, therapists, and mentors.

The Lodge provides a more open and less restrictive setting that supports continued treatment while allowing men to fully participate in work or school during their return to everyday life. In addition, they continue to receive counseling, psychiatric services, and advocacy support.
