About Discovery Point Retreat
Discovery Point Retreat is recognized as one of the top addiction treatment centers in Texas and across the country. Through its network, the center offers residential programming in Texas, along with intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) services in downtown Dallas. The outpatient location is easy to reach and provides both day and evening hours so treatment can fit different schedules.
Discovery Point Retreat’s PHP program serves as a step between structured outpatient care and residential inpatient treatment. It can be a strong option for individuals who cannot fully commit to inpatient care because of work, school, or family responsibilities. In the Day Treatment program, clients attend therapy for 8 hours each day, five days a week, while still having time to handle responsibilities on nights and weekends.
The IOP program focuses on relapse prevention using relapse prevention counseling. It helps clients build independence and apply the coping strategies they learn in everyday life. Participants receive support similar to what inpatient clients receive, but with greater flexibility. Sessions may include traditional counseling, life skills development, trauma-focused therapy, and additional evidence-based services.
