About Greenhouse Outpatient Center
Greenhouse Outpatient Center delivers outpatient services for substance use disorders and related mental health challenges through a full continuum of care and individualized treatment plans. Outpatient options range from day treatment, also known as partial hospitalization, to intensive outpatient, standard outpatient programming, and telehealth. During outpatient treatment, clients may remain at home or stay in a nearby sober living program.
Clients can choose the level of care that best fits their current situation or transition smoothly between different outpatient levels as needs change. The most structured outpatient option, day treatment, includes treatment at least 3 days per week. Typically, clients participate for 6 to 8 hours each day and take part in evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, art therapy, and programming aligned with the 12-Step model. In the day/evening intensive outpatient program (IOP), clients usually attend about 3 days weekly for roughly 3 hours per day. General outpatient care is designed around the needs of each person and may involve several hours of weekly treatment.
Greenhouse Outpatient Center develops a personalized recovery plan for every client. The care team includes a physician, nurse, primary therapist, and case manager, who review clients’ histories related to addiction, mental health, and physical health. Team members meet weekly to review progress and recommend adjustments. Services may include individual (1:1) therapy, group therapy, and family therapy when appropriate. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is available when needed. The center also offers psychoeducation and educational groups to help clients and their families better understand addiction and the recovery process.
In addition, Greenhouse Outpatient Center partners with independent sober living at Resolutions Arlington. The sober living setting includes shared common areas and kitchens where residents can prepare and eat meals together. Transportation is arranged for appointments and group activities. Ongoing guidance is supported through an alumni network, an alumni app, and regular support meetings that cover topics such as grief and loss, LGBTQ+ support, and relapse prevention.
