About First Step Counseling
First Step Counseling Services, which is fully approved by the State Board of Addiction and Prevention Professionals and the Department of Social Services, offers a complete program aimed at long-term recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. The center delivers personalized outpatient treatment designed to help clients recognize and change the thinking patterns and behaviors associated with addiction, with services tailored to each person’s circumstances. At First Step Counseling Services, addiction is treated as a health issue rather than a personal weakness.
First Step Counseling Services provides a broad selection of support, such as individual and group counseling, assistance with 12-Step programs, educational sessions, and diagnostic assessments. To strengthen progress after treatment, the center also offers aftercare services that help clients adjust as they return to everyday life. Their overall approach combines evidence-based behavioral change methods with life skills development to support sustainable recovery.
First Step Counseling Services assists people working through substance use recovery while still being able to manage their regular responsibilities. The center offers individualized counseling along with intervention and educational programs through experienced counselors. Clients may continue working, remain in their homes with their families, and follow their typical routines as they move forward in treatment.
