Serving the Quakertown community since 1983, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery provides a variety of outpatient and residential programs tailored to adults, young adults, and veterans dealing with mental health issues, substance use disorders, co-occurring conditions, or traumatic brain injury. With several residential options, the center offers different levels of support based on each person’s needs. The Pathways program provides housing in the form of homes and apartments for individuals who want to build greater independence while remaining engaged in the community. In this setting, residents have their own space shared with up to two other people, and they continue practicing independent living skills.
Through New Vitae’s residential services, individuals receive both clinical and community-focused support to help them transition back to everyday life. Within Pathways, staff remain available, but residents take on more responsibility for daily routines and self-management. Residents can also join activities hosted through Quakertown House, which helps expand social connections and engagement.
New Vitae’s young adults program is designed to support behavioral health in a whole-person way, including mental health services, employment support, development of life skills, social opportunities, and educational assistance. For people making the shift into adulthood, the program provides guidance intended to strengthen long-term well-being.
For veterans, New Vitae distinguishes its program by employing veterans who bring firsthand understanding and specialized expertise to their peers’ care. The initiative began in response to the community need for stronger services for veterans experiencing homelessness and has grown to include support such as traumatic brain injury treatment, deep transcranial magnetic stimulation, GeneSight testing, and additional care options.
Also confirm the facility is licensed by Pennsylvania. If you are withdrawing from alcohol or benzodiazepines, ask about medical detox; do not stop suddenly on your own.
New Vitae Pathways did not report which payment types it accepts. If you have Medicaid, ask whether the facility accepts your Pennsylvania Medicaid plan or can refer you to one that does. Most private plans must cover substance use treatment on terms comparable to other medical care under federal parity law.
