About Foundation for Living
This organization provides live-in rehabilitation for teenagers aged 10–17 who face mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Support is also available for substance use and complicated trauma, including experiences related to human trafficking and self-injury. Located on 14 quiet acres of wooded land, the center offers a secure, well-organized setting designed to support recovery, stability, and personal development. Among its specialized services are dedicated pathways for pregnant adolescents and for those who have experienced sexual exploitation.
Services are delivered using an individual plan, with therapeutic approaches adjusted to match each resident’s needs. The center uses evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and neurofeedback. Care typically includes one-on-one, group, and family therapy, medication oversight, and tailored education that targets self-harm warning signs and emotional regulation. The team consists of licensed therapists, registered nurses, and psychiatrists.
Daily nutrition is provided through a cafeteria on-site, and residents are matched with roommates according to age and gender. The campus includes an accredited school operating year-round, with small classes, interactive boards, and qualified educators, enabling students to continue earning academic credits while receiving treatment. In addition, the program offers recreation and leisure opportunities, along with access to a beauty and barber shop, helping residents maintain healthy routines and a sense of normal life.
