About Hispanic UMADAOP/Casa Alma
Hispanic UMADAOP provides support for adults age 18 and older dealing with substance use disorders involving drugs and alcohol. The center delivers services that include early intervention, outpatient programs, intensive outpatient options, and residential treatment for stays of up to 30 days. Spanish- and English-speaking staff ensure care is available for both men and women. In addition to treatment, the program supports youth prevention efforts and encourages active family participation to help interrupt patterns associated with addiction.
Care is provided through a combination of evidence-based practices and approaches that reflect clients’ cultural backgrounds. Each participant follows a personalized treatment plan that may include group counseling, individual sessions, crisis assistance, and involvement with 12-Step programs. The program also offers anger management, family counseling, and peer support led by trained individuals. A holistic approach addresses the individual as a whole—mind, body, and spirit—while respecting culture and community throughout recovery.
Those in residential treatment live at Casa ALMA or Casa MARIA, with room assignments arranged based on clinical needs. The center includes meals and bus passes to support transportation. The setting is designed to feel safe and welcoming, connected to the surrounding community. Staff also deliver prevention programming at local schools to help children and teens build healthy routines and strengthen emotional skills for long-term well-being.
