About KAV Health Cincinnati East

KAV Health Cincinnati East (also referred to as Cincinnati Suboxone Clinic) is situated in the northeastern part of Cincinnati, just off I-75. The center provides services to adults across the southwest Ohio region, addressing mental health, substance use, and eating disorders. Their mental health programs cover conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, mania and hypomania, PTSD, personality disorders, schizophrenia, trauma, insomnia, and other mood-related disorders. For substance use, they support recovery from addiction involving alcohol, heroin, opioids, prescription medications, morphine, codeine, and other opiates. They also offer treatment for eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating, rumination, regurgitation, and avoidant or restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).

KAV Health begins with same-day consultations, then develops a custom plan that can include in-person or virtual sessions and accounts for co-occurring concerns. Their clinicians use evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and the course of treatment advances according to the client’s readiness and progress.

Along with individual and group counseling, KAV Health provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for both mental health conditions and substance use disorders. They most commonly use Suboxone, which combines buprenorphine and naloxone to help lessen cravings for opioids, alcohol, and other drugs.

The center also supports PTSD and other mental health issues through medical marijuana, offering THC in a way that follows Ohio regulations. KAV Health is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and some of its virtual counselors extend availability into evenings and weekends.

In addition to this clinic, KAV Health runs three other locations in southwest Ohio focused on mental health, substance use, and eating disorders, as well as a Cincinnati West site that specializes in substance use treatment. They may also help with other needs through nearby primary health clinics. For aftercare, KAV Health offers sober living options through its seven sober living facilities collectively known as Izzy's House, which coordinate with their clinics and include Suboxone as part of ongoing treatment.
