About Addiction Services Council
Addiction Services Council (ASC) is a nonprofit organization rooted in the community that assists individuals and families impacted by substance use and related conditions. ASC views these challenges as treatable health issues, and it emphasizes that recovery can occur. For more than 70 years, ASC has provided help and programs for residents of Cincinnati and surrounding communities, supporting people in taking steps toward healthier lives.
ASC aims to strengthen a community where drug and alcohol misuse is not tolerated. The organization works to lessen stigma and offers a wide range of services, including prevention, evaluation, treatment, education, and advocacy. Support may include crisis assistance, counseling for individuals and families, group therapy, training for employers, programs for schools, and peer support from people who have personally completed recovery.
ASC also operates the Recovery Health Access Center (RHAC), a 24/7 hotline staffed by trained professionals who help individuals access guidance and support at any time. The center links callers to local treatment resources and provides case management to coordinate care. Additional offerings include drug screening, educational resources about addiction, and community outreach. Through these efforts, ASC helps people and their families work toward healthier, more stable futures.
