About Stonewater Adolescent Recovery Center

Stonewater Adolescent Recovery Center helps the young men entrusted to their care create brighter futures and strengthen family relationships. The program addresses the specific struggles many teenage boys face, such as substance use, mental health concerns, and behavioral difficulties. With services ranging from medical detox and intensive residential programming to leadership-building opportunities through the Stonewater Summit Program, Stonewater also focuses on thoughtful aftercare so recovery lasts beyond the campus. The center’s commitment is not limited to managing symptoms; it centers on teaching lasting skills and rebuilding confidence and self-respect. At Stonewater, treatment supports boys in uncovering who they are beyond anxiety and self-defeating habits. For many teens, substance use is only part of the story—underneath are often shame, discouragement, and a diminished sense of direction. Stonewater’s method is guided by purpose and focused on restoring self-worth, helping teens find their way back through evidence-based therapies and supportive structure. Using individual and group therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, 12-step programming, leadership development, and adventure-based activities, the boys begin forming the foundation for a life they can feel proud of. Located on a calm private property in the rolling hills of northern Mississippi, Stonewater offers a quiet, low-distraction environment where adolescent boys can pause from everyday pressures and focus on healing. Their days combine therapy, physical training, and outdoor experiences designed to encourage both movement and new perspectives. Whether they’re hiking, working through difficult emotions, or learning how to use entrepreneurial strengths, they gradually learn that real change is achievable. Stonewater starts aftercare planning early, long before the program ends, with recovery support plans shaped around each family’s priorities. Staff collaborate with each teen to create individualized home agreements that clearly outline expectations and healthy boundaries for returning home. After discharge, the boys continue to receive phone call check-ins and can use the Alumni app for encouragement, connection, and engaging support.
