Oceans Behavioral Health Biloxi’s outpatient clinic is conveniently located near the beach and Beach Boulevard. It offers outpatient care, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and day treatment for adolescents and adults dealing with anger, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, grief, OCD, PTSD, schizophrenia, self-harm, stress, trauma, alcohol and drug addiction, personality disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Services include individual counseling, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), group therapy, medication management, relapse-prevention counseling, relaxation-based therapy, and 12-Step Facilitation. The psychiatric team monitors clients’ progress and medications on a daily basis.
Day treatment, known as the Therapeutic Day School, is also available for children who are in kindergarten or older.
Because Biloxi has a strong military community, including the Naval Construction Battalion Center, Keesler Air Force Base, and the Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital, Oceans Behavioral Health Biloxi provides treatment focused on active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. The STAR military program addresses issues such as combat-related stress and the strain of prolonged separation from loved ones. Family members take part in group therapy with other military families facing similar circumstances. Enrollment in the STAR program requires a referral from the Department of Defense (DoD) or the VA.
Oceans Behavioral Hospital operates multiple sites across Mississippi, Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Several locations focus on mental health concerns related to aging or military service, and more programs are expanding to serve adolescents. Nearby inpatient services offer a higher intensity level of care for both adults and adolescents.
