About Flint Odyssey House Inc

Founded in 2021 as a continuation of Flint Odyssey House, Grandma’s House remains dedicated to helping families. Providing outpatient support, including an intensive outpatient program (IOP), the center works with pregnant and parenting adults, as well as their children and teenagers, during their recovery from substance use. The approach combines clinical expertise with a family-focused environment to promote meaningful, long-term change.

Grandma’s House provides individual, group, and family counseling, along with recovery coaching and parenting education. It also delivers prevention programs aimed at strengthening family relationships and reinforcing sustained recovery. Backed by a team of three clinicians, a recovery coach, and a program coordinator, clients receive both practical tools and encouragement to rebuild stability and hope.

Designed to feel supportive and welcoming, Grandma’s House offers a small, comfortable area for child care, plus an indoor-outdoor library corner. The space is furnished with thrifted pieces that reflect the warmth of a grandparent’s home, and it includes a kitchen and oven to support everyday family life skills. Outside, a community garden gives families the chance to plant, grow, and learn together, strengthening belonging, responsibility, and a sense of home.
