About Addiction Recovery Care (ARC)
Riverplace is a men-only detox and residential facility for people with substance use disorders. The center’s holistic approach combines CARF-accredited clinical care with medical services overseen by an addictionologist. Riverplace also applies a Christian-centered model that includes 12-Step support and chaplaincy services, along with opportunities for vocational training.
The program is organized into four phases. In Phase 1, the focus is on clearing substances from the body and developing an individualized treatment plan. Upon arrival, Riverplace’s clinical staff conducts physical and mental assessments to shape care. Medical detox offers a secure, monitored setting for withdrawal from drugs or alcohol, and medication-assisted therapy is provided when clinically indicated.
During the residential portion, Riverplace follows a Christian, whole-person philosophy aimed at healing the mind, body, and spirit. Clients receive support from addiction specialists around the clock. Treatment includes evidence-based one-on-one and group counseling to help clients recognize triggers and learn healthier coping methods. Meetings are available through AA, NA, and Celebrate Recovery. After residential care, men may step down to intensive outpatient treatment with a sober living option for greater flexibility.
Phases 2 and 3 emphasize peer support and practical preparation for returning to work and school. Riverplace continues to offer spiritual life activities, individual and group therapy, and 12-Step meetings. Clients also build life skills through employment-focused training and educational programming. In the last phase, men take part in an internship designed to strengthen real-world abilities. When treatment ends, clients earn a Health and Human Services certificate from Sullivan University, which can be applied toward Sullivan’s associate or bachelor’s degree pathways.
