About Compass Health Center
Compass Health Center supports people in managing mental health challenges through research-backed counseling methods alongside selected experiential approaches. Services are offered both face-to-face and online, including this site located just south of the Oak Brook area. Treatment plans are tailored to the client’s age and the specific issues they want help addressing. Compass provides individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
The center offers a teen track for adolescents ages 12–18, a young adult track for ages 18–23, and an adult track for ages 23 and older. For teens, sessions are coordinated to fit around school schedules, and the program includes help for clients who are refusing to attend school. For clients aged 18 and above, Compass uses trauma-informed care pathways.
Compass also provides relapse prevention planning and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals seeking help with alcohol or drug addiction while receiving mental health care. Depending on the client’s needs, they can support either a harm-reduction model or an abstinence-focused model for substance use. The center can prescribe and manage Suboxone, Vivitrol, or naltrexone to help reduce cravings.
