About Compass Health Center
Compass Health Center assists people in working through mental health challenges with proven counseling methods and select experiential approaches. Services are offered both face-to-face and remotely, including at this site in the northern Chicagoland area. Treatment plans are tailored to the client’s age and the specific concerns they want help with. Clients may participate in individual, group, and family therapy.
The center provides structured programming by life stage: children’s services for ages 5–12, teen services for ages 12–18, young adult services for ages 18–23, and adult services for ages 23 and up. The children’s and teen programs are designed around school schedules and include support for clients who are refusing school. For clients 18+, programming includes trauma-informed care pathways.
Compass also offers relapse prevention planning and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for those managing alcohol or drug addiction alongside mental health treatment. Depending on the client’s goals, Compass can support either a harm-reduction strategy or an abstinence-focused approach. Medication options may include Suboxone, Vivitrol, or naltrexone to help decrease cravings.
