About Patriot PowerUp Program

Patriot PowerUp provides a 45-day residential program near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, designed for veterans dealing with PTSD, depression, anxiety, and traumatic brain injury. The treatment plan integrates multiple levels of support, including specialized neuro-rehabilitation, three weekly individual therapy sessions, and daily group therapy based on evidence-backed approaches. Veterans from across the country can access the program through the VA Community Care Network, helping them begin building a meaningful, purpose-driven life.

Patriot PowerUp structures recovery around four steps, each tailored to the person. First, Reveal collects key clinical information using blood work, assessments of brain function, and self-report questionnaires to identify what each participant needs most. Next, Repair delivers targeted interventions such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, ketamine infusions, and a nutrition plan customized to support recovery from brain injury, PTSD, and depression. Then, Rewire focuses on strengthening healthier brain connections through cognitive training, psychotherapy, and real-time neurofeedback. Finally, Retrain helps veterans lock in long-term progress through supervised fitness activities, continued nutrition guidance, and practical education focused on mental health.

Patriot PowerUp also creates a supportive healing environment with private rooms intended to promote calm and recovery. Veterans can use a heated pool for low-impact movement and stress reduction. The center is pet-friendly, allowing veterans to have trusted animal companions nearby during treatment. Cell-phone access is permitted as well, so participants can remain in touch with family and friends on their own schedule. Outside the indoor setting, the mountain location includes spaces for guided meditation and access to nearby hiking trails, supporting a steady routine that nurtures both body and mind.

With its 45-day residential format, Patriot PowerUp offers an immersive, data-informed reset, then helps veterans sustain change after discharge by teaching transferable skills such as nutrition, fitness, psychoeducation, and brain-training techniques under the Retrain pillar. Since the program operates through the VA Community Care Network, veterans receive care that is clinically grounded and connected to ongoing support, rather than having to coordinate treatment on their own.
