About Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches
Set near the Atlantic shoreline, Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches (BHOPB) supports adults recovering from substance use and related issues for more than two decades. The center provides multiple levels of care, such as residential treatment for addiction and main mental health needs, medically-assisted detox, day treatment, and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). BHOPB also offers targeted services for high-pressure professionals, Veterans, and faith-based recovery approaches. Along with substance use treatment, it focuses on co-occurring conditions and behavioral addictions, including depression, trauma, and internet addiction.
Through BHOPB’s Primary Residential Mental Health Program, individuals receive a consistent, supervised setting for serious mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and more. Care is guided by individualized treatment plans that may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-informed approaches, and additional holistic options like biofeedback and art therapy.
BHOPB’s Residential Addiction Treatment Program takes a whole-person approach that can involve medically-assisted detox, counseling, and creative therapies such as art and music therapy, along with recreational programming. The program also supports clients with co-occurring disorders and offers options tailored to high-stress professionals and faith-based preferences. With round-the-clock structure, the focus includes wellness education, nutritional counseling, and spiritual programming to support long-term sobriety.
Operating as part of the Banyan Treatment Center network, BHOPB’s Lake Worth site includes a modern indoor setting and a tropical outdoor space with a pool. Treatment options include holistic services such as fitness programming, bio-bed therapy, and body-centered wellness. A family program is designed to keep loved ones engaged through educational meetings and family weekends. BHOPB is accredited by the Joint Commission, reflecting its commitment to high-quality care.
