About Nextep Men

Nextep provides an environment designed to help people rebuild their lives after addiction. The program includes outpatient treatment for substance abuse along with recovery houses. For individuals moving from the beginning stages of recovery toward full independence, Nextep offers a six-month supported living option. The center operates nine locations in Fort Myers, Florida, and follows its 12-step approach, along with defined program rules. Under the guidance of licensed professionals, residents receive both mental health services and hands-on support focused on substance use recovery. Nextep also maintains nine gender-specific residences in Lee County, situated in quiet residential areas in Fort Myers and Cape Coral.

Life Skills Preparation Within the sober living program, residents should expect curfews, drug screening, and consistent compliance with community expectations. Each person is responsible for completing assigned weekly household tasks and for supporting their own needs. Continued participation requires that residents be employed, actively seeking employment, or enrolled in an approved academic or technical program. Treatment includes clinical services such as individual counseling, family therapy, group sessions, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Residents also have access to structured activities, including kayaking, ropes course challenges, art therapy, equine therapy, and boating. Nextep is Joint Commission accredited and works with insurance.
