About Adult and Teen Challenge Southwest Florida Men's Rehab

Situated close to the shoreline, the Adult and Teen Challenge Southwest Florida Men's Rehab, also referred to as Ft. Myers Men's Home, provides a Christ-centered treatment program for men dealing with substance use issues. Established by David Wilkerson in 1960, the organization has expanded to nearly 250 Adult and Teen Challenge locations in the United States and more than 1,000 centers in 95 countries worldwide. Adult and Teen Challenge requires a $500 fee at intake, with no additional monthly charges for the rest of the program.

The Bible-based curriculum is designed around three recovery priorities: healing from the damage tied to addiction, restoring relationships through reconciliation with Jesus Christ and others, and achieving personal transformation grounded in Jesus Christ. During the program, participants attend sermons, take part in Bible studies, join prayer activities, participate in spiritual retreats, and complete vocational training. Life Renewal clinical counseling provides behavioral health services using CBT, DBT, and relapse prevention techniques while maintaining a Christian framework. Because Adult and Teen Challenge does not use medical staff, individuals must complete detox before beginning the program. To keep attention on recovery, visits are restricted to immediate family, and personal electronic devices are not permitted. To support full recovery from substance use, smoking is also prohibited.
