About Denver Womens Recovery
Denver Women’s Recovery is a women-centered community where women support women who are dealing with alcohol and drug addictions, including co-occurring mental health conditions. As a women’s intensive outpatient program, it offers structured treatment along with sober living options. Denver Women’s Recovery recognizes that women and men often progress through recovery in different ways, so it provides gender-specific guidance and care. The center’s mission is to help women build the futures they deserve. They also understand that many women have histories of trauma that can affect emotional well-being, which is why they provide a trauma-informed treatment approach.
Denver Women’s Recovery includes a range of services, such as intensive outpatient programs (IOP), substance use screening, dual diagnosis treatment, nutrition therapy, a Vivitrol program, and mental health support. Additional offerings include ADHD treatment, eating disorder treatment, and a dedicated sober living program. Across all programs, the center uses evidence-based therapies, holistic care, and skilled clinical treatment. Their therapeutic model includes acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), neurofeedback, yoga, meditation, rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), and somatic therapy. Denver Women’s Recovery is CARF-accredited, and it accepts many major insurance plans. Prospective clients are encouraged to call to confirm coverage.
Denver Women’s Recovery also offers sober living, often referred to as recovery housing, for women who want to focus fully on healing without the pressures and distractions of everyday home life. This program is available to women who have completed outpatient treatment as well as those currently enrolled in the IOP who need additional support in reducing triggers. Recovery housing helps residents return to community living while continuing to receive ongoing substance use treatment, giving hope to women who may feel that lasting recovery is out of reach. The gender-specific setting includes a recreation area with a pool table, a comfortable shared living space with multiple fireplaces, and shared bedrooms with private en-suite bathrooms. Residents can also enjoy an in-house movie theater with leather reclining chairs. The facility provides amenities such as soaking tubs in the shared bathrooms, walk-in showers, spacious open-concept kitchens with cooking equipment, and an additional relaxing area. The sober living program works with clients’ insurance providers to help lessen the overall financial impact.
