Crestwood’s Sonoma County Healing Center provides a calm, safe setting where adults can work through mental health difficulties. Located in a peaceful, park-like area of rural Sonoma County, this Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) delivers client-focused, recovery-based support. The center creates an individual Recovery Service Plan for each resident to guide their progress, aiming to strengthen stability, encourage personal empowerment, and help them transition back to the community or toward greater independence.
Care includes widely used, evidence-based methods such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which equips clients with skills to handle emotions and lower levels of distress. Residents also participate in the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), using it to set meaningful objectives and structure daily routines. Together, these programs help individuals rebuild confidence, regain control, and maintain healthier long-term outcomes.
To support rehabilitation and growth, residents take part in a range of therapeutic and skill-building activities. These may include art and music for creative expression, life-skills development, mindfulness-based practices, and supervised outings that promote community connection. The Healing Center also includes vocational assistance through its Dreamcatchers Empowerment Network, helping clients develop abilities and self-assurance for what comes next. This whole-person approach supports purpose and belonging, enabling residents to move forward with stability and hope.
